Welcome To Physical Education
The primary purpose of the Cedar Lane Physical Education is to develop competence in fundamental movement skills for students in Grades 1 - 5 by providing a wide variety of developmentally appropriate movement experiences and practice opportunities during a 30 minute class, three times a week. Learning experiences are designed to use skill themes and movement concepts to teach the content of each learning strand. The program will focus on skilled movement, movement principles and concepts, personal fitness, responsible behaviors and physically active lifestyles.  Age-appropriate fitness and wellness concepts are embedded in all  instructional units. The curriculum also incorporates academic knowledge and content into the activities taught throughout the school year.
