Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) Employees may apply for Special Permission starting
March 1, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
PLEASE NOTE! THE REQUESTED GRADE IS THE GRADE YOUR STUDENT WILL BE IN FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR! YOUR CONFIRMATION PAGE WILL REFLECT THE REQUESTED GRADE!
The following secondary schools are not available for Special Permission requests for the 2014-2015 school year because they are at program capacity:
Belmont Ridge Middle School
Eagle Ridge Middle School
J. Michael Lunsford Middle School
Stone Hill Middle School
Briar Woods High School
Broad Run High School
Dominion High School
Loudoun County High School
Potomac Falls High School
Stone Bridge High School
Tuscarora High School
The request window will re-open for schools with sufficient capacity to Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) families April 1, 2014-September 15, 2014. For families of students new to LCPS, please request Special Permission as soon as your student is registered at the school which serves your attendance zone. Kindergarten registration begins April 8, 2014. Please contact the school which serves your attendance zone for more information on kindergarten registration.
Please note Policy § 8-20 revisions are currently being discussed by the School Board.The revised Policy § 8-20 will be posted upon approval by the School Board.
Please contact our office if you have questions, or refer to the links on the left side of this page for information regarding Family Relocation provisions and information (for move-outs and move-ins within Loudoun County that occur during the school year).
If your student is served through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), please contact the Office of Special Education at (571) 252-1011 if you would like to discuss your student's placement at a school other than the one which serves your current residence.
On January 22, February 12, and June 11 the Loudoun County School Board adopted revisions to Policy §8-20, School Assignment, which went into effect immediately, replacing previous versions of the policy.
