  • Welcome to the Briar Woods Crew Club page! We are excited to start our first season of rowing for the 2011 spring season! GO FALCONS!!!

  • We are the first rowing team in Loudoun County and we compete with the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association against other northern Virginia Crew Teams.

  • Q - Where is BWCC planning on rowing?
  • A - We will be rowing on the Beaverdam Creek Reservoir for practice and at the Occoquan Reservoir for Regattas.
  • Q - Who are the Teacher Sponsors?
  • A - Mr. Legg and Mrs. Valleau
  • Q - What is a regatta?
  • A - A regatta is a racing event for various crew teams. Sometimes up to 2,000+ people can compete.
  • Q- What will we be rowing in?
  • A - We will be rowing in 8 person shells, a shell is a long, 60ft narrow boat that weighs around 250lbs.
  • Q - Why would I want to join Crew?
  • A - Crew is an excellent sport that keeps you in great shape, it is a blast builds great team-working skills, Looks GREAT on college resumes, and is the Only sport at Briar Woods that lets you be out on natural body of water.
